ICT can be very useful for applying a 'Process writing' approach. I find it much easier to get students to review, redraft and improve their text if it is on a word processor. If they do this by hand, then they have to completely rewrite their work, which they often find dull and boring, but doing it on a PC is much easier and less repetitive. They can also use ICT to add 'real' communication to their writing tasks, as this gives them the opportunity to write for and communicate with a genuine audience, rather than just doing 'display' writing for the teacher to read and mark.

ICT plays an effective role in the teaching of Second Language. Students can use graphics to express along with words. They can use spell check and do self-correction. Teacher can prepare interesting activities. Student and teacher can communicate. They can form a network with other learners. They can use latest teaching/learning strategies.

My idea is practice of writing is that it should be with hand written specimen of someone's writing.

Hi

Google Documents is a very useful application, which allows learners to collaborate on one document, across the Internet.

I have found this to be very useful for motivating learners to write. It also encourages peer teaching and correction.
