Hi,
I really love this question and answer session as it gives me hoards of input to teach English to Indian kids who are not at all exposed to English.
Students frequently see prepositions as wholly illogical and isolated bits of information, what can you do to stop the feeling of hopelessness that this can induce: a) in the way you present or practice prepositions?
Students usually get loads of practice in answering questions whereas forming questions in English is much more difficult. Does anyone have tips on how to practise ASKING questions in class?
"Is there an effective way of teaching when to use the definite article "the" and when the indefinite article "a" and when not to use any articles at all in front of nouns?"
We have two questions this week on the topic of grammar teaching. Grammar is an essential part of the language learning process but opinions vary on the best way of teaching it.
I need advice on how to teach sentence structure. Please can anyone help? I have found good sources on individual sections of grammar but not a clear, easy and effective way on how to string the constituent parts together.
