English for 4-6 year olds
alessandra11's picture

Hi,

I've never taught this age group before. They like doing activities, but one of the children (there are three) gets bored quickly and doesn't want to do TPR activities, games, etc. Maybe she doesn't like English!!

I'd appreciate any suggestions. This group meets one hour a week.

Not beinging sure, of what your teaching plan is.  I find that singing, particularly with a CD, helps get their attention.  My groups are bigger than 3, when I feel their attention wandering-ı jump to a song.  As soon as the CD starts, it grabs their attention.  Regards Angie.

my class is a big one of 30 6-year-old kids. i teach them 26 english letters and some daily dialogues. some of them can catch up with the lessons, but a few of them seem to have no idea about the lessons. they keep doing things irrelevent t the classes. i've tried some ways, but with little effect. how to keep their ettention in the class?
