Students frequently see prepositions as wholly illogical and isolated bits of information, what can you do to stop the feeling of hopelessness that this can induce: a) in the way you present or practice prepositions?

Practising questions  

Students usually get loads of practice in answering questions whereas forming questions in English is much more difficult. Does anyone have tips on how to practise ASKING questions in class?

Modals for likelihood  

Could somebody help me with tips on how to teach and practise using modal verbs of likelihood?

I am relatively a new entry into teaching English for corporate companies. I always have difficulty in introducing and teaching tenses.

Teaching grammar  

We have two questions this week on the topic of grammar teaching. Grammar is an essential part of the language learning process but opinions vary on the best way of teaching it.

Third conditional  

"I'm a teacher of English. I'd be grateful if you could help me on the best way to teach conditional sentences type 3 to pupils."

Sentence structure  

I need advice on how to teach sentence structure. Please can anyone help? I have found good sources on individual sections of grammar but not a clear, easy and effective way on how to string the constituent parts together.

Question tags  

I find it hard to get my students using question tags during speaking activities (e.g It is difficult, isn't it?). Explaining the form and testing their understanding on paper is fine, but it is hard to think up effective speaking practice activities. Can you help?
